So today I installed a new 290lph fuel pump that I got from Visconti and realised that there wasn't too much information on the subject so I decided to make a small turorial on it.
First of all it's not the most fun modification to do with all the black sticky sealant, tight cramped areas and the effort required not to get fuel all over your seats but all in all it probably took me about an hour. (Also run the car until the fuel light comes on, it will save you getting fuel everywhere)
1. Firstly you will need to release the pressure out of the fuel system by removing the fuel cap and then remove the 10mm bolt holding the left hand side rear seat and fold the seat up out of the way.
2. Under the seat you will see a cable entering a steel lid that is stuck down with some soft setting sealant, this just pops off with a flat blade screwdriver and a little bit of force.
3. Unplug the connector that supplies power to the pump and the fuel gauge floater and move aside.
4. Next the fun part, remove the fuel line connected to the top of the white plastic fuel pump carrier and watch out you don't get fuel everywhere, wrap a rag around the hose to absorb the fuel. You will also see a big collar holding the carrier in the tank, this collar needs to be unscrewed to remove the carrier, this is nearly impossible to do by hand so I just used a soft hammer and a length of aluminium to tap the collar loose.
5. Once that is removed you can pull out the carrier watching out for the float switch as well as anothe fuel line that needs to be disconnected.
6. Once it's been removed follow this link for the fuel pump install in the carrier.

7. It's a tight squeeze to assemble the carrier back together as the carrier actually holds the fuel pump against its seal (2 o-rings).
8. The wires in the carrier need to be cut and soldered then heat shrink applied. Red to blue and black to black.
9. Do everything back in reverse and your done.
10. Enjoy smelling fuel in the car for the next few days
