No need to worry, as it could be an indication that your stock bushings have become weak at the anchor point of your shifter assembly. The COBB Tuning 5-Speed Shifter Bushings are direct replacements made from high-grade 95A durometer urethane and has been designed to eliminate excessive side-to-side movement in the stock shifter caused by soft rubber bushings.
