The Subaru OEM Cylinder Block Bolt is one of the more important hardware components on the engine due to the complexity of the length, and the thread pitch.

If you have lost or misplaced one of your cylinder block bolts, do not waste time at the hardware store trying to match something with the wrong size or thread pitch. You could ruin the threads on the block which means you have to tap and clean the threads while using a custom bolt to hold everything together.

These are available for separate purchase, and will work right the first time. If you’re performing any sort of maintenance that requires removing or replacing the cylinder block bolts, always use the correct hardware and don’t cut corners.
